What's the difference between Ecopool vs other cowboy pools?

Our pools utilize a polymer membrane liner. Rather than corrugated metal in the interior that is hard to clean and subject to potential rust, our interiors are completely flat and lined with the polymer membrane. With our patented modular design, Ecopools can be connected together for unlimited sizes and shapes.

Can I DIY an Ecopool?

Yes, an Ecopool is an ideal canidate for a DIY pool. Thanks to its prefabricated design, our pools can be setup in just a few short steps. Follow along on our DIY Guide to see how to do-it-yourself

Do I need a permit to install an Ecopool?

Different cities and municipalities may require a permit to install a plunge pool. Costs, permits, and install will be depend on local laws. You will want to check with your local laws before installing a plunge pool.

How long does it take to install an Ecopool?

The time it takes to install Ecopool depends on your design choice. A small on ground Ecopool can be installed in as little as a day. Larger inground or partially inground Ecopools can take anywhere from 2-4 days to install. It depends on the type of pool you are installing and geographic location. We recommend a gravel or concrete base for Ecopool. A contractor or subcontractor can perform an site inspection and assess your specific needs.

Can Ecopools be heated?

Yes, our Ecopools can be heated and even can be ordered with a pool heater!

How long does it take for Ecopool to ship?

It depends on the final design of your Ecopool. A simple 8’x20’ container pool can be ready to ship in as little as 20 days. Larger sizes typically require 3-4 weeks to complete.

Can I change the color of the exterior?

We do offer custom colors on the exterior of Ecopool. There is a fee for custom paint colors. Note that custom colors may extend lead time.

Where do the repurposed shipping containers come from?

All Ecopool shipping containers are single use containers. That means they were newly manufactured and then used to ship cargo overseas. The benefit of using these new containers is that they are still in excellent condition after their first trip before being repurposed into an Ecopool.

I’ve heard rust is a concern for stock tank pools. How does Ecopool address this issue?

Ecopool uses an 8 layer system to protect the wall of Ecopool. The pools interior is a water containing polymer membrane which cannot rust. Unlike some container pools, the design of Ecopool doesn’t rely on the container’s metal structure to contain the pool water. We belive this design is much better surface for sanitation, longevity and appearance.
